Ingredients:

  • 10.5 oz condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 14.5 oz canned green beans, drained
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 6 oz French-fried onions
  • 1 tbsp melted butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the condensed mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and garlic powder until the mixture is a smooth emulsion.
  3. Fold in the drained green beans and shredded sharp cheddar cheese until every bean is fully coated in the savory sauce.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a 1.5-quart oven-safe casserole dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  5. Bake the bean mixture uncovered for 20 minutes until the edges begin bubbling and the sauce thickens.
  6. Remove the dish from the oven, drizzle the melted butter over the surface, and spread the French-fried onions in a dense, even layer across the top.
  7. Return the dish to the oven for another 5–7 minutes, or until the onions reach a deep mahogany-colored glow.
