- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 14.5 oz canned green beans, drained
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 6 oz French-fried onions
- 1 tbsp melted butter
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the condensed mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and garlic powder until the mixture is a smooth emulsion.
- Fold in the drained green beans and shredded sharp cheddar cheese until every bean is fully coated in the savory sauce.
- Transfer the mixture into a 1.5-quart oven-safe casserole dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake the bean mixture uncovered for 20 minutes until the edges begin bubbling and the sauce thickens.
- Remove the dish from the oven, drizzle the melted butter over the surface, and spread the French-fried onions in a dense, even layer across the top.
- Return the dish to the oven for another 5–7 minutes, or until the onions reach a deep mahogany-colored glow.
