Ingredients:

  • 1 (2.5 lb) store bought rotisserie chicken, warm or chilled
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Keep the rotisserie chicken inside its original plastic bag. Using two forks or gloved hands, pull the meat away from the bone while it is still in the bag to contain all scraps and juices.
  2. Remove the bones from the bag. Pour in the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, black pepper, and sea salt.
  3. Seal the bag tightly, leaving some air inside, and shake vigorously for 30 seconds to emulsify the juices and coat the meat evenly.
  4. Place the discarded bones and skin into a gallon-sized freezer bag and store in the freezer for future bone broth.
